New Co-Packing and Warehousing Facility Increases Resource

copacking1With a new 30,000 sq.ft facility just become operational, Fencor has increased its usable co-packing and warehouse space by an additional 30% over the previous resource.

The clear span space and the lack of obstacles ensure that access and working space is as uninterrupted as it can possibly be, speeding up operations markedly and maximising working capacity.

The building has been equipped with hydraulic docking bays to enable the faster turnaround of both inbound and outbound stock which means less waiting time for transport and the ability to complete a greater number of stock turns per shift – Both of which result in a better return on investment for the customer.

The facility was chosen, amongst other reasons, as it is housed within a security controlled industrial complex so that customers with a requirement for stock and serve can have the peace of mind that their product is surrounded by deterrents to those who might otherwise disrupt the smooth flow of their product.

co-packing

copacking2The new warehouse has been specifically set up to increase the already impressive capacity for co-packing, pre-assembling of display units, kitting (the picking process to assemble individual elements for merchandising kits) and of course stock and serve.

This flexible resource can, amongst other things, enable customers with seasonal requirements to have their packaging drip fed on to their production or packing lines at a specified rate, or it could equally be used to serve Fencor’s own substantial co-packing operation.

This is the latest investment in the planned expansion and improvement programme for Fencor Packaging Group Limited.
